Salsa dancing is not a sporting event and you can not score sports tickets for the “big game” if you are going to the Salsa World Championship. It doesn’t matter if you are a man or a woman – salsa dance may be an art form and it maybe strenuous, but it is NOT a sport. Of course I cheer for ice skaters in the Winter Olympics, but I still consider that to be an art and entertaining but your ticket stubs do not count as sports tickets.
Inflating in Price
Sports Tickets have been inflating in price for years and now with the tightening economic situation many sports fans struggle with spending the money to be season ticket holders. It does not matter if the sports tickets you are after are for the national football league NFL Super Bowl or major league baseball MLB division playoff games. Even if you want sports tickets for a Red Wings NHL Stanley Cup Game or Final Four NCAA basketball game the prices have gotten so steep and you certainly don’t want to put your event in the hands of a scalper. I have found that sports tickets for a regular season football or baseball game are almost too pricey and even relatively minor sports tickets like US Open tennis match or a PGA golf tournament are difficult to find a good price. NASCAR sports tickets may take a drop in price as the NASCAR fans have taken the hardest hit financially in the recession of any group of sports fans. Still scoring sports tickets for Bristol or Talladega may be harder than you anticipate.

Looking for sports tickets online can be a risky business. If you try craigslist or ebay you may risk buying a ticket that is a fraudulent copy of the real thing and you may show up to your event venue and find they won’t let you into the stadium or arena. If you are going to buy sports tickets online make sure you know how to verify the validity of the tickets and then buy from someone locally so that you can verify the tickets and exchange the money in person.
Many of the well known ticket brokers online are as good as using ticketmaster which has a reputation for charging excessive handling fees and jacking up the overall cost of attending sporting events. However there are some really good places like ticketsnow that offer you the best of sports tickets at the best prices you can find. You may even find a decent sports tickets broker that will enable you to buy last minute and pick your tickets up at the will call desk at the stadium.
Experience The Event In Person
As much as I would like to argue for staying home and watching all those sporting events on my big screen, I find that whenever I buy sports tickets and attend the big game, I get to experience the atmosphere that just can’t be recreated no matter what food and beer we have or how many rowdy fans we pack into my basement.
